The Iron Fist and the Velvet Glove is a podcast which takes a look at news and political events as viewed through secular coloured Australian glasses. Each week Trevor (the Iron Fist) and Scott (the Velvet glove) discuss the events of the previous 7 days and give their opinions. Why should you listen? Imagine this scenario. You are at a dinner party, a cafe or you are being interviewed at a Miss Universe contest. The discussion turns to politics or current affairs and you realize you would like to make a sensible contribution to the discussion and maybe even provide a slightly alternative but perhaps ingenious solution to the issue being discussed. The good news is that if you have been listening each week to the Iron Fist and the Velvet Glove you will will have bag full of interesting opinions to plop on to the debating table. Or, imagine this scenario. You are about to vote at a federal election and you are considering voting for Tony Abbott. You realize something is terribly wrong so you replay a few episodes of the Iron Fist and the Velvet Glove and thankfully you are cured.
